Jamar Banks
Jamar Banks is the Director at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, Office of Academic Support and Intercultural Services. He oversees academic support and social programs for students on campus. Prior to working in the Office of Academic Support and Intercultural Services, he served as an Academic Counselor in the Athletic Department at the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Jamar was the coordinator of Multicultural Programs, which included working collaboratively with the Women's Center. In athletics, Jamar monitored the academic progress of over one hundred student-athletes, in addition to, providing student-athletes of color with diversity enhancement opportunities as well as resources for violence prevention.
Jamar completed his Masters of Science degree in Leadership Education from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, August 18, 2004. He plans to pursue his Ph.D. August of 2006 in Leadership Education.
