How to be a Mentee

NU Connections Mentee Requirements

 

The mentee requirements include the following for Year One:

  1. Attend a minimum of 6 NU Connections approved activities per semester. Three will be picked by OASIS and three will be picked by participant. List of Events
  2. Participate in 1 meeting a month with their peer mentor
  3. Participate in 3 meetings with a member of their family cluster
  4. Attend 3 study hall sessions in the Academic Success Lab each month
  5. Participate in one approved community service project during the academic year
  6. Meet monthly with their assigned OASIS Program Coordinator each semester
  7. Submit a mid-semester Academic Progress Report

The mentee requirements include the following for Year Two:

  1. Attend a minimum of 3 NU Connections approved activities per semester
  2. Keep in regular contact with their peer mentor
  3. Participate in 3 meetings with a member of their family cluster
  4. Attend 3 study hall sessions in the Academic Success Lab each month
  5. Participate in one approved community service project during the academic year
  6. Meet monthly with their assigned OASIS Program Coordinator each semester
  7. Submit a mid-semester Academic Progress Report

Nebraska Achivement, Davis, Heritage, Larson, Gupta and SIPS Scholars:

  • Each student must fulfill all the requirements and maintain a 2.5 GPA in order to renew their scholarship for 2006-2007 fiscal year.
  • If one of the above requirements is not fulfilled, the student will go on scholarship probation for the following semester. In the case that a student continues not to participate in the program their scholarship will be revoked.
