Please click here for the November 16th newsletter!
Dear Parents of UNL Students:
Beginning August of 2009, the Office of Undergraduate Studies will publish an electronic newsletter twice a month designed specifically for parents of new freshman. These newsletters will provide timely information about university-wide academic policies, programs, and issues (students will need to check with their academic advisor regarding specific college and departmental policies, programs, and issues). They are designed to keep you "in the know" about questions your son and or daughter may have during specific times of their first year of college.
If you chose, you may sign up for an email reminder. When the first newsletter of the month becomes available, the Office of Undergraduate Studies will email you to let you know it is available, and also the date the second newsletter of the month will be available online. The newsletters will be available online regardless of whether or not you register for the email reminder.
For example, here are topics that we addressed in the two August emails:
- Math Readiness
- Adviser Assignments
- Classes begin Monday, August 24
- Academic Calendar
- Student Development
- Drop and Add/Closed Classes
- Full-Time Student Status
- Tuition Refund Schedule
- Book Return
- Administrative Drops/Class Attendance
- Student Development
If you are interested in receiving this email newsletter please fill out the following form (click here).
Thank you for your time. We hope you will choose to register for this new program.
Sincerely,
Rita Kean
Dean of Undergraduate Studies
