It was designed with input from successful transfer students. It can help you find resources around campus and the Lincoln area. One section helps you learn where to look for various information on the UNL web. Another includes links to resources for nontraditional students. If you are struggling in a course, take action early. Use these resource centers and talk to your professor or TA. It may be time to start a study group, Talk to classmates or contact them using the Blackboard roster for your class. Take advantage of these resources you already pay for in your student fees.
UNL Spring Career Fair will be held February 17-18. If you are not ready to graduate it can still be a good time to check out the Career Fair. The list of participating employers may give you some ideas about employment or internship possibilities. Stroll through to observe professional attire. Go to one of the preparation workshops. Students are often so busy their last semester that the Career Fair is an afterthought. Start planning early and stand out from the competition.

Spring Career Fair, February 17-18, 2009. Nebraska Union. A 2-day event, over 250 employers discuss career opportunities in a variety of fields.
- Day 1 - Business, Liberal Arts, Non-Profit, and Government positions
- Day 2 - Engineering, Scientific, Technical, and Agricultural positions
Tau Sigma--Transfer students who enter UNL as sophomores, who are full-time, degree seeking students, and who earn at least a 3.5 GPA in their first semester at UNL are invite to Join Tau Sigma. This is a national honor society recognizing academic achievement of transfer students. The Nebraska chapter plans social events and service projects as well as a spring induction ceremony and a reception for December graduates. If you want to hear more about Tau Sigma come to a Meet and Greet Sunday afternoon, February 15 at 2:00 pm. Nebraska Union. Room will be posted. Amy Uehling, chapter treasurer, recently won a $1500 national Tau Sigma scholarship. Nebraska is the only university to have a scholarship winner in each of the first five years the scholarships have been awarded.

E. N. Thompson Forum on World Issues
On Feb. 10, F.W. deKlerk, former president of South Africa, will present the Lewis E. Harris Lecture on Public Policy as part of the E.N. Thompson Forum on World Issues. Since leaving office in 1995, deKlerk founded and is currently chairman of the Global Leadership Foundation, a consortium of former heads of state that promotes peace, democracy and development worldwide.
