Tau Sigma - National Transfer Student Honor Society. Transfer students may have difficulty meeting residency requirements for some honor societies. Tau Sigma allows for leadership roles, campus and community involvement, and even national scholarships for transfer students. To be eligible students must transfer a year of credit, be full-time degree-seeking students, and earn a 3.5 GPA in the first semester at University of Nebraska–Lincoln . Lifetime membership is by invitation. If you believe you are eligible for membership or for further information contact the Transfer Coordinator.

2006 Tau Sigma National Scholarship winner:
Craig Pfeifer

The scholarship competition was based on member’s academic achievement as well as contributions to the local chapter, the university, and the local community. Besides Tau Sigma, Craig is active in the American Marketing Association, the Society of Human Resource Managers, university pep band and Heartland Big Brother Big Sisters. He expects to graduate in May 2006 and pursue an MBA.

Ashley Robison

Five members nationwide were honored in the first annual scholarship competition. Entrants were judged on essays detailing the member's contribution to the local chapter, the university campus, the local community, and academic achievement.
