Jennifer Nelson is the Interim Director of the Division of General Studies, the academic home for undeclared UNL students. She joined the General Studies' advising team in 1992. Ms. Nelson's favorite aspect of being an academic adviser for deciding students is recognizing that every student has their own pathway to determining the major that best fits their interests, talents and dreams.

Prior to her tenure at UNL, Ms. Nelson was the Volleyball Coach, Intramural Director and Summer Programs Coordinator at Peru State College in Peru, Nebraska. Ms. Nelson earned her Bachelors degree in Exercise Science and her Masters degree in Physical Education at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas.
