MEGAN BROOKE

Megan was nominated for her outstanding academic achievement during the Fall of 2008, with a 4.0 GPA

"I am currently enrolled in the College of Business and will major in either Accounting or Finance. The Susan Thompson Buffett scholarship has enabled me to attend UNL without struggling with a full-time job to pay off student loans. It has also allowed me to become part of the William H. Thompson Scholars Learning Community, where I have made many close friends. It has given me the opportunity to attend the WHT workshops which have helped me learn more about UNL and other various subject matters that will help me further my education and come in handy in the future."

BRIDGET AGNEW

Bridget was nominated as the Most Improved Scholar

"My name is Bridget Agnew. I am a freshman studying psychology. The William H. Thompson Scholars Learning Community has given me a sense of identity on a rather large campus inside and outside the classroom. Being a part of the William H. Thompson Scholars Learning Community has also given me the confidence necessary to succeed in my present and future endeavors. This confidence has ultimately led me to several leadership opportunities and has allowed me to acquire leadership qualities that are necessary to succeed in a college environment."
