Edward Abplanalp is a philosophy graduate student at UNL. Edward did his undergraduate work at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. There he received a B.A. in Mathematics in 1990, a B.A. in Geography in 1992, and a B.A. in Philosophy in 1995. He received an M.A.in Philosophy from UNL in 2001. His area of specialization is ethics and he is working on a dissertation on a contractarian conception of environmental justice. He teaches philosophy at The College of Saint Mary, University of Nebraska - Omaha and Metropolitan Community College also in Omaha. His web page.

Patrick Arens is a philosophy graduate student and teaching assistant at UNL.He received his Bachelors from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 2006 where he majored in Philosophy and minored in German. He considers himself genuinely interested in all areas of philosophical inquiry. However, currently his specific interests rest at the cross-roads of three fields: Phil. Mind, Phil. Language and Evolutionary Theory. But his interest in Metaphysics and Logic (namely, Set Theory) is not to be understated. Lastly, he is a notably skeptical thinker, and has been described by his wife as "annoyingly skeptical". email

William Bauer is a philosophy graduate student and teaching assistant at UNL. He completed his M.A. in Philosophy at Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) in 2005, and his B.A. in Biology with a minor in Philosophy at Illinois Institute of Technology in 1996. His wife, Marcy, is an Environmental Health Manager, and together they have a son, Isaac. Bill’s main philosophical interests are in metaphysics (especially personal identity and the self, and how these overlap with ethics), philosophy of mind, epistemology, and ancient greek philosophy. He also has interests in St. Augustine, the modern philosophers and the pragmatists (C.S. Peirce in particular). email

Anthony Blazier is a philosophy graduate student and teaching assistant at UNL. He received his B.A. from SUNY Geneseo in 2007 where he majored in Philosophy with a minor in English. His philosophical interests are centered mostly in Philosophy of Language, Logic, and Epistemology. Anthony is also an avid rock climber and SSBM player. email

Brent S. Braga is a philosophy graduate student at UNL. He received his B.A. from Simpson College in 2001 and his M.A. from UNL in 2006. His primary philosophical interest is in the philosophy of mind, as well as related issues in philosophy of language, epistemology, and metaphysics. Brent is also a rabid fan of Chicago Cubs baseball. While he believes it is possible that the team will win a World Series in his lifetime, he is unable to conceive of it happening.email

David Chavez is a philosophy graduate student and teaching assistant at UNL. He received his B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy from the University of New Mexico, after which he taught philosophy at a community college. Among other things, David is currently interested in problems in the Philosophy of Mind, such as the nature of mental states and their contents. He has an abiding interest in Metaethics. email

Mark Decker is a philosophy graduate student at UNL. He received a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of Washington (Seattle) in 1998. His main philosophical interests are in moral philosophy (metaethics and normative ethical theory), action theory, and philosophy of mind. His primary interests are in Epistemology, but he is also interested in Ethics and the Philosophy of language. His philosophical interests are in ethical theory and political philosophy. Outside of philosophy, Cullen has a passion for running and harbors deep seeded feelings for the syndicated television show, Seinfeld. email

Charlie Gilkey is a philosophy graduate student and teaching assistant at UNL. He received his B.S. in Philosophy from the University of Central Arkansas in 2002. His main philosophical interests are in political/social philosophy, ethics, and metaethics, with particular interests in military ethics, international human rights, and international justice. He is also interested in pragmatism and philosophy of religion. His wife, Angela, is a graduate student in Sociology, and together they spend far more time than they'd like to admit working on or around their house. They also enjoy kayaking, backpacking, and other assorted outdoor activities, but those activities are currently on hiatus given Nebraska's geography and the lack of time available for travel. email

Danielle Hampton is a philosophy graduate student at UNL. Danielle received her B.A. in philosophy from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania in 1996 and her M.A. in philosophy from Colorado State University in 1999. Her primary philosophical interests are in early modern philosophy and philosophy of mind. She is currently working on her dissertation tentatively entitled Locke's Theory of Mental Content.

Joel Hunt is a philosophy graduate student at UNL. Joel received an A.A. degree in Liberal Arts from De Anza College in Cupertino, CA in 1985; he received his B.A. in Biblical/Theological Studies from Bethel College in St. Paul, MN in 1987; he received an M.Div. degree from Bethel Theological Seminary in St. Paul, MN in 1991. After spending six years in full-time ministry, Joel decided to pursue a career in teaching. Joel received his M.A. in philosophy from San Jose State University in San Jose, CA in 2004. Prior to coming to UNL Joel taught graduate level theology courses for five years. Joel’s primary philosophical interest is philosophical theology. Joel’s other philosophical interests include hermeneutics, the philosophy of mind, philosophy of science, ethics and political philosophy. Joel married his wife, Kara in 1985, and they have two children, Tamara and Tad. email

His primary research interests are in epistemology and the philosophy of language, and he is currently completing a dissertation on the case for epistemic contextualism. Cory Kibler is a philosophy graduate student at UNL. He graduated from Doane College in Crete, Nebraska in 2004 with a B.A. in both English and philosophy. He is mainly interested in ethics, aesthetics, and theological metaphysics. He enjoys writing and performing music, bicycling, writing, reading, movies, and checking his e-mail. All the time. Justin Moss is a philosophy graduate student and teaching assistant at UNL. He is from northern Idaho and received his B.A. and M.A. from the University of Idaho in 2004 and 2006, respectively. His current interests are in ethics and social-political philosophy. He has previously taught or been a teaching assistant at the University of Idaho in Moscow, ID, and the College of Saint Mary and Southeast Community College in Lincoln. Outside of philosophy, he enjoys classic literature, nautical fiction, German history, travel, music, badminton, and cycling (when time allows).
