Each offering of this course will focus on some central philosophical problem or the work of some significant philosopher. The course stresses the reading of primary sources, the interpretation of philosophical texts, and the writing of research papers.
Prerequisite: All 400-level philosophy courses have a prerequisite of 9 hours of philosophy, or permission of the instructor.
Frequency: Philosophy 400 is offered either in the fall or in the spring semester.
