Paul Durbin Paul Durbin
E-mail: pauldurbin03[at]yahoo.com
Paul Durbin is currently working on his dissertation which deals with mathematical knowledge via insight from the conceptual development of the calculus concept convergence (of an infinite series).  His thesis is:  The formalist proof-based account of mathematical knowledge distorts mathematical reasoning from an initial conjecture to an argument accepted by mathematicians, i.e., a proof.  Working on a dissertation is his current focus on his chosen journey as math teacher and philosopher.  As a philosopher, questions/issues about knowledge have been with him since age 12.  These issues motivate him to ease out of bed each day and get on with his journey.
