Academic Services
The mission of PIESL is multifaceted. In addition to the operation of the Intensive English Program, we are responsible for an array of services relevant to the language needs of non-native English speakers at UNL and in the Lincoln community. These include providing language instruction for university credit; helping prepare international graduate students for appointments to teaching assistantships; and conducting English language proficiency assessment of prospective, incoming, and current UNL students.
