Dawn has had many years of service as an intensive English program lecturer.  After completing her B.A. from Kent State University, in Kent, Ohio, she taught EFL in the Middle East.   Later, Dawn completed her M.A. in Applied Linguistics with specialization in ESL from Indiana University-Bloomington.  Before joining PIESL, she served as a full-time ESL lecturer and Academic Coordinator at the Midwest Institute for International Students at Doane University (formerly Doane College), the oldest liberal arts college in Nebraska.  Her professional interests include comparative linguistics, testing, 2nd language acquisition, and Middle Eastern Studies.  When time allows, Dawn enjoys drawing and painting, flower gardening, and researching genealogy.
