Tim joined the faculty of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in the Fall of 2016. Before moving to Lincoln, he taught at Ball State University and Northern Virginia Community College. He teaches courses in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. He has specialized primarily in teaching second-language reading with a secondary interest in second-language listening. His interest in teaching English began with a volunteer assignment in Daegu, South Korea, where he taught conversational English to all ages. He pursued graduate studies in Applied Linguistics with a concentration in TESOL from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA, graduating with a Master of Arts in 2007. In his free time, he enjoys reading about languages, music, and linguistics.
