Plains Song Review
Plains Song Review, founded in 1999 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, is an interdisciplinary literary journal that explores a sense of place in the Great Plains through writings, photography, and artwork of emerging and established writers and artists. Submissions are encouraged from, but not limited to, undergraduate college students.
Our objective in producing this journal is to encourage and highlight the quality of literary work produced by undergraduates and other emerging writers and photographers. This journal gives undergraduates the opportunity to publish among their peers as well as seasoned writers and artists.
Plains Song Review is published each Spring. A selected student editorial board acts as peer reviewers of submitted work. A special reading will be held and the Christine Pappas Award for Best Work will be announced.
