The Journals of the Lewis & Clark Expedition
The project, under the editorial direction of Gary E. Moulton, Thomas C. Sorensen Professor of History and Associate Director of the Center for Great Plains Studies at UNL, consists of a thirteen-volume edition of the journals of Meriwether Lewis and William Clark and four enlisted men, and is published by the University of Nebraska Press. The Center, in co-operation with the American Philosophical Society and with the financial support of the National Endowment for the Humanities, inaugurated a new edition of The Journals of the Lewis and Clark Expedition in the late 1970s.
