The role of the School Transition Specialist includes:
1. Recommending curricular accommodations
2. Monitoring student programs
3. Interpreting vocational evaluations
4. Implementing community mapping
5. Counseling students in career options
6. Developing transition goals and objectives
7. Developing linkages for adult and post-secondary services
8. Facilitating transition to postsecondary programs or employment
9. Providing support for vocational, special, and general education teachers
