Laura is a third year graduate student in the clinical psychology program at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Her research interests center on intimate partner aggression, trauma, and the effects of family violence on children's development and adjustment.

She received her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Psychology with a minor in Child Development from Tufts University in 2006. Laura then spent two years as a research assistant at the National Center for PTSD, where she was involved in research examining intimate partner aggression and trauma in military and civilian populations. In addition, Laura worked on projects examining the impact of intimate partner aggression on child behavior problems, parenting satisfaction among a sample of men with alcoholism, and sexual functioning of trauma victims.
