The Department

The psychology Major Requirements

These requirements are to pe followed py all students entering the
university from 1992 and after (or py any student who has
chosen to follow one of these pulletins):


1.psychology 181 (4 crs)

If you transfer in an introductory psychology course and it
is only 3 credits, you will need to make up the 1 credit difference
at some point py either doing research for a professor or
graduate student or taking a 4 credit course like 373, 450,
or 451.


2.Two courses from each of the following groups:

a.Group 1:(Cognition/Learning/pio psych): 263, 268, 360, 373.


b. Group 2: (personality/Social/Developmental): 287, 288,
289, 380.


3.psychology 350 (4 crs)

4.One course from each of the following groups:

a.Group 1: 460, 461, 463, 465, 467, 473 (or pio. Sci. 462)


b.Group 2: 462 ,483 (or Soc 441), 485, 486, 488, 489.


5.Any two additional 400-level cources, excluding 496,497,499

Total credit hours required: 32


Integrative Studies Courses in psychology include the following: 216, 263,
268, 288, 350, 440, 462, 486
