Academic Dismissal Appeals

Students who are academically dismissed from the University or whose registration is blocked because of academic deficiencies may appeal that dismissal. Students wishing to initiate the appeal should do so as quickly as possible by meeting with an academic adviser in their college dean's office. The final deadline to appeal academic dismissal and permit reinstatement for the Second Semester, 2009-2010, is 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2010.

No consideration of a dismissal appeal will be given until all financial blocks/holds have been removed. If all financial blocks/holds have not been removed prior to the deadline, the committee will not consider an appeal for the Second Semester, 2009-2010. NOTE: See Registration Holds.

The student needs to complete the Academic Reinstatement Appeal Form, while the Advisor completes the Academic Reinstatement Appeal Worksheet in conjunction with the student. Both must be filed at the home college advising office.
