Since 1988, the Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (IANR) has followed a carefully developed Strategic Plan that has been revised regularly. The 2000-2008 plan reflects changes in Nebraska's agriculture, agribusiness, natural resources and human resources occurring at a pace that would have been considered unbelievable only a few years ago.

Students enroll in courses from all over the world, all 50 states and approximately 135 countries outside the U.S. Students may enroll in individual courses for credit transfer, or they may enroll in the ISHS diploma program.
