Remote Access to IRIS using the UNL Proxy Server

The electronic databases and indexes to which the UNL Libraries subscribe are licensed for use only by the UNL community (faculty, staff and currently enrolled students of UNL). When you access these restricted databases from an off-campus location, you must be identified as a member of the UNL community, and your Internet browser (Netscape, Explorer, etc.) must be configured to use the UNL Proxy server. While using the IRIS system, you will be asked to enter your Social Security Number when you select the first licensed database. You will not be asked to re-enter the information as long as your current session is active. Once your number is accepted, you can access any of the databases or indexes available only to the UNL Community.
