School & Career
- Major: Music Education
- Voice: Soprano
- Private teacher: Pamela Miller
- Expected graduation: 2011
- Career goals: Attend graduate school to become a college music professor.
- Who has inspired me: My inspiration for music definitely came from my teacher of private lessons/mentor/pastor’s wife Mrs. Sarah Witt, and my inspiration for life and writing, my other hobby and love, came from my speech coach/mentor/English teacher Mrs. Kim Zach. They were both wonderful people with a very influential presence in my life. As I sort of took on the role of an apprentice with each person, her life experiences, friendship, skills, techniques, and examples of what it really means to be a strong woman in today's society have meant everything to me. My mother also gave me everything listed above, tenfold.
- Other interests: I was a really hardcore softball player from the age of 8 through high school. I really enjoy fishing, boating, swimming, walking/hiking, and being outside in general. My favorite color is green, and my favorite shoes are absolutely any kind of ballet flats and Chuck Taylor’s.

Sigma Alpha Iota
- Year initiated: 2007
- Initiating chapter: Kappa
- Why I joined SAI: I joined SAI because I thought it would be a great opportunity to meet fellow musicians and learn more about music through the valuable experiences of others. Also, the idea of having a strong sisterhood bond over something as special as music was very exciting for me.
- The best part of SAI: My favorite part of SAI is definitely getting to know the diverse group of people who are now my sisters in music. Everyone is so different, and it’s very fun to get to know the girls and have the comfort of our SAI bond to kill my nerves when talking to them all.
- Why you should join SAI: Join SAI because everyone is really warm, laid-back, and comfortable to be around. It is also very nice to know people with related interests, and a bond that is in music is a bond that is scarcely broken. It is also always fun to be able to go to a practice room and jam out with your friends!
- My favorite SAI memory: My favorite memory was definitely our initiation ceremonies this year. It felt so wonderful to belong to something that was obviously very special to all of the ladies involved.
