August 31 to September 7

Welcome to the Dollhouse

Now featured at the Mary Riepma Ross Film Theater, Welcome to the Dollhouse is Todd Solondz's funny-shading-into-brutal film about adolescent hell in suburban New Jersey.

The film features Heather Matarazzo, above, who plays Dawn Wiener, a miserably unpopular seventh grader.

The film won the Best Picture Award at this year's Sundance Film Festival.

The movie is showing Aug. 29 through Sept. 1 and Sept. 4 through Sept. 8. There will be no screenings Sept. 6. Check Scarlet calendar for times.
