KUDOS Awards to Kreps, Lehmann
Anita Kreps, library technician II in the University Libraries Cataloging
Department, and Linda Lehmann, secretary II at the West Central Research
& Extension Center, received university Kudos awards for the month of
September. The awards were presented at the Sept. 13 Board of Regents
meeting.
Anita Kreps began working at the university in 1979. As a library
technician,
she handles a large quantity of work, but is always willing to help
others.
She is adept at relating on an understandable level to those who have
little
or no experience, or those with many years experience. Kreps consistently
performs work of a very high quality and has been a model for other staff
in the Libraries.
"When I give Anita a project to do or a problem to solve, I have
every
confidence that it will be done well," said her nominator.
"She
has a knack for analyzing problems, organizing projects, and training
other
staff for the work that needs to be done."
Linda Lehmann has been with the university since 1971. At the West
Central
Research & Extension Center (WCREC) she is assigned to six
specialists
and performs various secretarial duties including compiling and preparing
an annual Uniform Regional Sorghum Nurseries report, making experimental
plot maps for weed experiments and a booklet with the local data for the
annual State Weed Tour. She also handles registrations and other
preparations
for many activities related to 4-H and FCL.
"Linda carries one of the heaviest work loads of any secretary at
WCREC,"
said her nominator, "yet she readily takes on special assignments
and
projects as requested. [She] has always impressed me with her work
ethics.
In her position she often finds herself with deadlines from all of her
bosses
at the same time. That never seems to bother her. She simply gets after
it and soon she's accomplished the task."
