Kudos Award Honors Eckerson

Sue Eckerson, staff secretary III in the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs, received a Kudos Award for her exemplary work in that office at the April 5 Board of Regents meeting. Eckerson is the first person students, parents, visitors, faculty and staff see when arriving at the Office for Student Affairs. She possesses a wealth of information and knowledge about the university, and provides assistance and guidance to numerous individuals on a daily basis. According to her nominator, she always has an answer or knows how to find one. Even in the midst of a whirlwind of activity, she remains calm, pleasant and courteous. "She is unfailingly kind and cheerful, and she responds to the needs of others - students in crisis, parents with concerns, faculty or staff members with questions - without challenge or delay, one of her co-workers wrote. "Any bright person can probably learn all of the answers. What is extraordinary about Sue Eckerson is the grace, tact and humor which endear her to all of her co-workers and to the people with whom she interacts in the course of her work." (Photo/Wright)
