When special circumstances occur that affect your or your family's ability to pay educational expenses, you are encouraged to notify the OSFA. These situations could include loss of employment or loss of untaxed income or benefit. Situations that do not fall into these categories should be described in a letter and sent, along with supporting documentation, to the OSFA for review.

Students who fail to meet initial scholarship eligibility or renewal criteria are ineligible to receive the corresponding scholarship, but may be awarded or reinstated through a successful appeal. The purpose of measuring and enforcing these standards is to ensure scholarship recipients maintain the academic success that is expected of the merit-based scholarship and make progress toward graduation.

Student athletes participating in an NCAA sponsored sport are required to abide by the NCAA rules set forth regarding institutional aid. When a student is awarded academic AND athletic scholarships, he/she must meet specific NCAA criteria (in addition to the criteria for the academic award).
