Throughout the year the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid receives information from private donors regarding scholarship programs available. Below you will find an alphabetical list of the most recent information we have received, including scholarship descriptions and application information.

Abbott and Fenner Scholarships Award (Deadline: June 14, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship award. Open to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any accredited post secondary institution.

Alpha Delta Kappa Scholarship (Deadline: July 1, 2014)
Offers a $750 scholarship award. Open to female college students who will be Student Teaching during the 2014-2015 school year. Must be a graduate of a Nebraska High School within Lincoln County. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA in college.

A Place for Mom Senior Care Innovation Scholarship (Deadline: April 30, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship. Open to all students enrolled in an accredited college or university during the academic year.

Athnet Sports Recruiting Scholarship (Deadline: May 1, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship. Open to students who have been or are an athlete at the high school or college level. Must be a current college student or high school senior entering college.

B. Davis Scholarship (Deadline: May 26, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship. Open to all high school juniors and seniors as well as all students currently registered in any post secondary institution.

Bizshark Startup Scholarship (Deadline: July 15, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship award. Applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher. Must be an undergraduate majoring in business, management, account, or related fields OR a student pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree. However, students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Must be currently enrolled at an accredited four-year or two-year college or university. Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of the U.S.

Chris Nelsen Memorial Agriculture & Agronomy Scholarship (Deadline: April 25, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship. Open to high school seniors or currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate students who have a permanent address from York, Frontier or Lincoln county. Must intend to or already be enrolled in an agriculturally based academic program or focus.

CITIDental Boston Scholarship (Deadline: January 31, 2015)
This $500 scholarship award will be granted annually to one student who has demonstrated outstanding academic performance and merit. The application procedure requires a 1,000 word essay response to be submitted.

Cliffside Malibu Student Scholarships (Deadline: June 15, 2014)

CoachUp Scholarship (Deadline: August 10, 2014)
Offers $2,500 in scholarships and private coaching. Scholarships will be awarded to spectacular student-athletes, either currently enrolled or accepted into a U.S. college or university.

CollegeClasses.com 2014 Scholarship Award Program (Deadline: May 1, 2014)
Various $500 scholarship awards. Students who are currently enrolled or applying for enrollment in a degree program at an accredited college or university may apply.

Curiel & Runion Scholarship for Single Mothers (Deadline: June 5, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship award. Applicant must be enrolled at an accredited high school, college, or university in the U.S., must be a mother who is going back to school, and must maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.

Czech Language $300.00 Foundation Scholarship
Requirements:   
     Enrolled in an on-campus universty Czech class (101, 102, 201, 202, 301 & 302)
     Each Czech class the student takes, they are eligible for the $300.00 scholarship
     The application will be handed out at the beginning of each course
     Successful completion of the class is required & a thank you letter written to the donor of the scholarship

Offers one $5,000 scholarship award and four $1,000 scholarship awards. Open to currently enrolled college students (excludes graduate, law, and/or high school seniors). Freshman entering Fall 2014 are eligible once they have received a student ID number. 

Goedeker's College Scholarship (Deadline: July 31, 2014)
Offers one $500 scholarship and two $100 scholarship awards. The scholarship applies toward textbooks for the fall 2014 semester.
Open to any student enrolled in an accredited college. You must either be enrolled for the spring 2014 or registered for the fall 2014 semester. Being enrolled in summer classes does not make you eligible to enter. Must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.

GMR Transcription Scholarship (Deadlines: May 15, June 15, September 15 & December 15, 2014)
Offers a $500 academic scholarship. Open to currently enrolled full time students in college and maintaining a 3.0 GPA. Students are welcome to apply for the program throughout the year.

Graduate Programs Foundation (Deadline: Quarterly)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship or $1,000 toward your student loan payments from the Graduate Programs Foundation. Open to current graduate students or to those who have completed graduate school within the 5 years.

Grasshopper Entrepreneur Scholarship (Deadline: April 30, 2014)
Offers a $5,000 scholarship award. Open to any student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Spring, Summer, or Fall 2014 semester.

GreenPal Business Scholarship (Deadline: May 30, 2014)
Offers a $2,000 scholarship paid equally over (4) semesters. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in 2014 or currently enrolled in college of business with a 3.0 GPA or higher. Must demonstrate high ambition and desire to be an entrepreneur or business owner as well as have a declared major in the college of Business.

Harrison & Bodell Scouting Scholarship (Deadline: December 31, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship award to be used toward tuition, books or other school expenses. Applicant must be currently enrolled at an accredited high school, college, or university in the U.S. Must be a current or past member in good standing with the Boy Scouts of America or the Girl Scouts. Must be age 17 or older.

Hayek Fund for Future Scholars for Graduate School (Rolling basis)
Offers awards up to $300 for graduate school application fees. Open to undergraduates and recent graduates applying for full-time doctorate program to start in the 2014-15 academic year.

Jacobsen Turfgrass Scholarships (Deadline: May 1, 2014)
Offers a $500 scholarship award. Must be enrolled full time in a Turfgrass Management (or related discipline) program and must be entering the final year of the degree program.

Jan Egerton and Don Smitley Mesotheolioma Scholarship (Deadline: November 24, 2014)
Offers (10) scholarships ranging from $100-$5000. Open to students in colleges and universities throughout the United States. 

JustWalkers Mobility Scholarship (Deadline: June 30, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship award. Open to all college students with limited mobility who use a wheelchair, power scooter, crutches, rollator or other mobility device on a regular basis. Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be a legal U.S. resident or have valid student visa.

Kaplan Group Annual Scholarship (Deadline: July 27, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship award. Open to any undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a business or law-oriented degree program.

Law Office of Bradley R. Corbett Scholarship (Deadline: July 15, 2014)
Offers a $2,000 scholarship award. Open to any student of any degree seeking category. No minimum GPA requirement. Must be a full-time student attending (or planning to attend on a full-time basis) an accredited institution of higher education. 

Law School Diversity Scholarship (Deadline: May 31, 2014)
Offers a $2,000 scholarship award. Open to students who are currently attending an accredited law school, who are either a member of an ethical or racial minority or demonstrates commitment to issues of diversity within their academc career. Must be a U.S. citizen, have a minimum 3.0 GPA, and have completed at least one semester of classes at an accredited law school.

Log Cabin Rustics Scholarship (Deadline: June 30, 2014)
Offers a $300 scholarship. Must be enrolled at one of the participating institutions and have an interest in pursuing a degree in architecture, interior design, building or construction. Must be a legal resident of the U.S. or hold a valid student visa.

MassMutual Scholars Program (Deadline: May 2, 2014)
Offers scholarships of up to $5,000. Open to sophomores, juniors, seniors or 5th-year seniors of all majors. Preference given to students pursuing a career in the insurance and financial services industry.

Military LowVArates Scholarship (Deadline: December 30, 2014)
Offers a $1,250 Fall 2014 semester scholarship. Open to military students currently enrolled in college or children with a mother or father serving in any branch of the U.S. Armed Forces.

Movers Corp Scholarship (Deadline: Feb. 15 - July 15, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship. Applications are welcome from all students currently enrolled in an accredited online or campus college/university in the U.S. Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 on 4.0 scale.

Myofascial Trigger Point Research Scholarship (Deadline: May 1, 2014)
Offers a $500 scholarship award. Applicant must be a undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a program in Health Sciences, Medicine, or related field, with a focus on musculoskeletal medicine.

Norden Club of Lincoln Foundation, Inc. Scholarship (Deadline: May 9, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship or grant-in-aid. The committee is looking for applicants who wish to prusue an educational experience or project pertaining to any of the five Scandinavian countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Applicant must live within a 100-mile radius of Lincoln, Nebraska.

P.E.O. Continuing Education Grant

PeopleSmart Scholarship (Deadline: April 30, 2014)
Offers a $2,500 and $500 scholarship award. Open to students currently enrolled in a public or private high school (9-12th grade) and are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Pocketbook-Zookal Scholarship for Student Entrepreneurs (Deadline: May 14, 2014)
Offers a $1,000 scholarship award plus 4 free textbooks worth up to $1,000 from Zookal. Applicant must be age 18 years or older, currently enrolled in a university course or tertiary course, and interested in entrepreneurship.

Veterans United Foundation Scholarship
(Spring Application Period: March 15-April 30, 2014; Fall Application Period: September 15-October 31, 2014)
Offers a $2,000 scholarship award. Must have a connection to the United States Military as outlined on the website. Must be pursuing a post-secondary degree or plan to attend a college or university the following academic year, display financial need, and maintain a cumulative 2.5 GPA.

WyzAnt College Scholarship (Deadline: May 1, 2014)
Offers $10,000, $3,000, and $2,000 in scholarship awards. Open to students who plan to be enrolled in a college or university sometime between August 1, 2014 and November 1, 2016.
