The Student Money Management Center offers students the opportunity to learn more about successfully managing their financial lives through one-on-one "Money Management" advising sessions.
Who Administers Money Management Advising Sessions
Students can choose to meet with a "Money Management Mentor" - a fellow UNL student that has completed financial education and mentoring training - or an Accredited Financial Counselor.
Important Session Details
Sessions are free for UNL students.
All information discussed in sessions is held in strict confidence.
During sessions, SMMC represensatives help students develop ways to begin on a more active path to financial success.
What We CANNOT Do
SMMC Representatives cannot do the following:
- Do financial tasks for students
- Make financial decisions for students
- Sell financial products or services during mentoring sessions
- Venture into money management education areas beyond the scope of the University of Nebraska Student Money Management Program
