Financial Education Contests
UNL student organizations will have the chance to earn money by completing the UNL SMMC online financial education contests. The contests will encourage group members to discuss their experiences with finances.
Online financial education contests will be advertised in the Student Involvement newsletter.
Online Fun Financial Education Workshops
Don't have a lot of time for presentations? No problem! Take a few minutes and have your group members complete one of our fun online workshops! Topics include: Pop Culture, Movies, Current Events, and more!
SMMC Investing Clubs
The SMMC offers your student organization the opportunity to have SMMC representatives help you start an investing club. Investing clubs offer UNL students the opportunity to learn more about investing through a hands-on educational experience. Your group members will work together to invest a small sum of money and will make investing decisions in order to reach the ultimate goal of earning money on the club's investments.
We will help your student organization:
- Create club bylaws and draft club operating procedures
- Learn how to run an investing club meetings
- Research potential investments and present information to the group
- Research and decide on investment strategies

UNL SAVES Empowerment Program
UNL SAVES is a campus-wide effort to empower UNL students to help other students increase their saving and financial literacy. UNL SAVES provides educational presentations to train students to motivate other students to save.
Any UNL student that seeks to help their fellow students become more financially successful can become a "UNL SAVES Ambassador." UNL SAVES ambassadors must have a passion for helping other students become financially successful and must enjoy public speaking.
UNL SAVES ambassadors will present Power point presentations outlining the importance of saving, saving strategies, and savings tools.
