What is the UNL SAVES student empowerment program?
UNL SAVES is a campus-wide effort to empower UNL students to help other students increase their savings and their financial literacy. UNL SAVES provides an easy-to-understand 10-minute presentation ambassadors use to motivate their peers to think about their savings.
What do UNL SAVES ambassadors do?
UNL SAVES ambassadors will present a 10-minute Powerpoint presentation at their student organization meeting, residence hall meeting, or Greek house. The presentation will outline the importance of saving, saving strategies, and savings tools.
Who can participate in this program?
Any UNL student that is active in a student organization, residence hall floor, or Greek house that is able to make a savings presentation to their members. UNL SAVES ambassadors must have a passion for helping other students become financially successful and must enjoy public speaking.
When do UNL SAVES ambassadors make presentations?
Ambassadors need to schedule a time with their organization to present.
