General Money Management Workshops Workshop FAQ
NEW: UNL Money Smart Piggy Ambassador Program At the completion of this workshop, participants will receive certificates stating they are Money Smart Piggy Ambassadors.	During this entertaining workshop, participants will receive the tools they need to be ambassadors for personal finance and help encourage their peers to be smart with their money. Topics include: Managing Credit & Debt, Planning for Your Financial Future, Understanding Your Credit Score, and more. For all age groups and grade levels. This workshop will be customized to the educational needs of your group. After completion, participants will be eligible for all the benefits associated with being a Money Smart Piggy Ambassador, including special discounts at local retailers. Financial Game Nights Typically includes Decorate Your Own Piggy Bank and the Money Machine!	Learn great money management tips while participating in a fun game! Each game ends with winners getting a turn in the money machine! Popular topics include: Organizing Your Financial Life, Managing Credit & Debt, and Understanding Your Credit Score. We will choose the game format that will work best for your group. Games include: Scavenger Hunt, Quiz Show, Jeopardy, I Want to Be a Millionaire, Money Personality, I Never, and more! Stress Free Zones Typically includes fun stress free activities and tips for reaching your financial goals!	Learn great money management tips and de-stress with the following activities: DIY spa, piggy bank decorating, and more! We will choose the activities that will work best for your group. One-on-One Money Coaching Sessions Get your individual questions answered.	Have an Accredited Financial Counselor come to your organization's meeting and answer your members' personalized questions. Financial Boot Camp An efficient way to quickly gain an overall understanding of how to be money smart.	During this interactive workshop, SMMC representatives lead participants through a comprehensive financial workbook. Participants gain an overall understanding of how to be money smart. Topics discussed include: Financial Health Checkup, Finding Extra Income, Budget Basics, Saving, Establishing Credit, Insurance, Investing, and more. Workbook is provided. Money Zones Interactive Displays Can be included as part of your own events.	Learn practical money management life skills through this interactive educational activity! SMMC representatives will bring an interactive display to your residence floor or event. Students will learn key money management tips while completing fun activities. This activity can be part of an event. Students can participate in this interactive display whenever they want. We will suggest the Money Zone that will work best for your group. Workshops on Your Own Time Don't have a set meeting schedule? Want to help your group members gain money management knowledge when it's convenient for you? The SMMC offers online workshops, as well as videos and documentaries you can rent from the SMMC for no charge.
Online Workshops	Work together to complete an online financial workshop. Have fun and learn money management tips!	Length: About 10 minutes	Online Workshops
Dave Ramsey Video Program	Learn the basics of financial management through Dave Ramsey's College Program. Watch videos and use a workbook to help you find ways to start on the path to financial success. Each section takes about 1 hour. Topics include: Savings: Save for emergencies, large purchases and wealth building Budgets: Create and live on a zero-based budget Debt: Avoid the trap of borrowing money College Student Essentials: Learn what everyone needs to know about money Family, Friends and Philanthropy: Assess the impact of money on relationships NOTE: Charge for workbooks may apply.
