The Accommodation Resource Center (ARC) provides resources, training and technological assistance to students with disabilities on the UNL campus.
The ARC offers services to support people with a range of disabilities, including, but not limited to: individuals with mobility impairments, learning disabilities, individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing and those who are blind or visually impaired.
There are many types of assistive technology devices that can empower the lives of individuals with disabilities. For example, mini keyboards can be used by people with a small range of hand movement, and screen readers can be used by people who are blind.
The ARC can help in the process of looking for a solution if adjustments are needed with lighting, writing, studying, input devices, magnification/voice output, voice recognition, screenreaders, FM systems and more.
