Notes:

By using the assessment process to not only determine where students end up but the experiences that help get them there, we obtain a better understanding of their learning throughout the curriculum.

With this knowledge we can:

  • eliminate curriculum redundancies,
  • ensure that important topics are not being overlooked, and
  • determine how we can better utilize our existing resources and provide solid justification for additional resources.
