process of measuring what is valued.

Instead of viewing assessment as an exercise in measuring just what's easy, assessment should measure what we really care about, our educational values. Our assessment activities should focus on what we value most about our programs in terms of what they help our students achieve rather than just what we as administrators and faculty do.
