Assessment does not only have to measure what students know but what can they do with what they know. What are their values and attitudes that represents the kinds of characteristics and qualities we hope they will attain and demonstrate following graduation. If a unit values learning beyond knowledge and skills that it is logical for that unit to assess those varied aspects of learning.
By shaping our assessment plans to provide a more complete and accurate picture of what we want our students to learn, will contribute to an ongoing spirit of inquiry and growth that characterizes us as a research institution.
