The University of Nebraska–Lincoln College of Business Administration invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean.

Celebrating its 90th year of providing excellence in business education, the College of Business Administration is seeking a talented and energetic leader to build on the existing stature and current momentum of the college.

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is a nationally ranked AAU and Carnegie Research-Extensive University. It is the premier doctoral granting institution in the State of Nebraska. In the last ranking by Business Week, the College of Business Administration received three top 10 rankings. Departments within the college are recognized for excellence in both research and teaching, and the college's innovative distance MBA program is cited by Financial Times. The college is a founding member of AACSB and has been continually accredited since 1919; the School of Accountancy is separately accredited by AACSB.

The College of Business Administration consists of five departments — accountancy, economics, finance, management, and marketing — that offer nine undergraduate majors, as well as masters, MBA, and doctoral degrees. Programs of Excellence include the Nebraska Center for Entrepreneurship and the Leadership Institute. The college also houses the National Center for Research in Economic Education, the Nebraska Bureau of Business Research, and the Program in Business Ethics. UNL's classroom facilities demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a leading edge in the use of technology.

The Dean is the chief academic and administrative officer of the College of Business Administration. Candidates should have an outstanding academic record, a strong commitment to excellence in professional education and research, the ability to deal effectively with a broad range of constituencies, and the skills necessary to lead a complex and dynamic academic institution. The Dean will also lead the College in building close and mutually supportive relations with the state and its citizens, including the business community and college alumni.

The College is located on City Campus, in the heart of the arts, dining and entertainment district of the City of Lincoln, which has been named one of the best cities for creating a new business and for young business people to locate. The State of Nebraska has one of the lowest unemployment rates in the nation and the university recently received an increase in its state allocation for AY 2009-10.
