The assessment process also assists us in providing richer data about student learning in our programs.
This richer data is important because:
- it can engage us in more productive conversations about student learning,
- it can assist programs in making better decisions about how to improve student learning,
- it can help faculty obtain a greater sense of satisfaction from their work as educators by illustrating the difference they are making in their students' learning, and
- it can assist in effectively documenting our strengths and identifying areas in need of improvement, especially for the Academic Program Review (APR) or accreditation visits.
