PEARL Information
Student Learning at UNL
What is PEARL ?
Through an online software program PEARL provides structure, resources and guidance to help programs collect, analyze, and use data on student learning outcomes to improve. PEARL also provides opportunities for programs to collaborate and share assessment instruments with each other. A group of trained faculty peer reviewers provide coaching and feedback on PEARL plans to encourage improvement over time.
Support for PEARL is provided by the Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the participating colleges and is facilitated through the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies.
Below are short description of PEARL from a variety of perspectives: an institutional perspective shared by Dr. Jessica Jonson (Director of Institutional Assessment), a college-level perspective shared by Dr. Jim Walter (Associate Dean of the College of Education and Human Sciences), and a program-level perspective shared by Dr. Tiffany Heng-Moss (Associate Professor of Entomology). More in-depth information about PEARL is available here.
