Resource Book now available!

The resource guide Teaching for Inclusion: A Resource Book for NU Faculty is available from the Office of Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. To order a copy of the manual, contact Suzy Prenger.

The manual provides concrete teaching tips for teaching to diverse learning styles, selected strategies for culturally responsive teaching and a wealth of resource and background material to enable faculty to create a supportive learning environment for all students.

A unique aspect of the manual is the collaboration of students who reflect the cultural and ethnic diversity on our campus as well as diversity of learning needs, age, sexual orientation, religious identity and economic background. Chapter authors and editors listened to their experiences and incorporated their perspectives as learners into the manual. The manual was commissioned by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

Faculty Liaison Taskforce for Diversity and edited by Faculty Instructional Consultant Suzy Prenger. Over 60 faculty staff and students collaborated on the development of the manual.
