Janice Stauffer (Costume Design)

Janice Stauffer (Associate Professor) has been the resident costume designer and a theatre faculty member at UNL for twenty-two years. The Last Night of Ballyhoo in 2000 was her 35th design for the Nebraska Repertory Theatre. She counts The Pirates of Penzance, On the Verge, Lend Me a Tenor, and Big River among her favorites. During the past two University Theatre seasons, Janice designed Three Sisters, Fiddler on the Roof, and The Philadelphia Story. Janice has also done costumes for numerous recreations of the bi-annual A Christmas Carol. She has also designed costumes for the Utah and Illinois Shakespeare Festivals and very much enjoys the cooperative nature of theatre design and bringing a play to life before your eyes.
