At Kappa Alpha Theta we recognize that our New Members play a key role in the future success of our chapter. We invest time, energy, and sisterhood while integrating them into our bonds of sisterhood. Kappa Alpha Theta uses a six-week orientation period to make sure that our New Members are well-adjusted and educated into not only our sorority, but also the University. The New Members meet weekly, before chapter meetings, with their New Member Educator and her Assistant. They are educated on several different topics including: scholarship, campus involvement, philanthropy, Alcohol Edu, chapter history, national history, and CASA (our national philanthropy). The weekly educational meetings give the New Members a chance to spend time at the house, bond with their pledge class, and meet some of the active members of Kappa Alpha Theta.
Kappa Alpha Theta also has several different activities and programs that help develop sisterhood and friendships. Our programs include: Get-to-Know You week, Mom/Daughter, Twin Star, social events, Retreats, Parent’s Weekend, Initiation Week, and Initiation. These activities create lasting memories and prove that “Theta is for a lifetime.”
