Apply to UCARE
For Year 1 and Year 2
Applications are no longer being accepted for the 2009-10 AY. Please submit your application in February, 2010 for the 2010-11 AY.
There are both Year 1 and Year 2 application forms. For those of you new to the program, choose the Year 1 form; for those of you who plan on returning as a Year 2 participant, choose the Year 2 form.
Year 2 students must fill out the Year 2 application to re-apply for a second year of UCARE funding.
Students and their sponsors will be notified via email in early April 2009 of UCARE funding decisions for 2009-10.

Students, before applying to the UCARE program, please consider the following:
1. Make sure that you have time in your academic schedule to work on your UCARE project.
Time allotted for UCARE should be equivalent to a 3-credit course, that is, about 9-10 hours per week.
2. Once accepted into the program, switching UCARE projects/departments/ sponsors is not normally an option.
Be thoughtful about choosing your UCARE experience; it is usually a two-year commitment. Make sure that it fits your needs and those of your faculty sponsor. If you are in the Honors Program, think about how this research experience might turn into your senior honors thesis.
