Research enterprise growing
Total research funding at UNL increased nearly 13 percent to a record of more than $122 million this year. Total research funding, which includes all external funds awarded for university research, was $122,452,344 in the fiscal year ending June 30. The increase, up from $108.3 million in fiscal 2008, is UNL's largest ever year-to-year research funding growth.

The Office of Research promotes and facilitates UNL's research enterprise, strategic partnerships and technology development efforts. Total external research funding has increased by 146 percent since 2000.
Office of Technology Development
The Office of Technology Development helps translate academic research into new products and services for the benefit of Nebraskans and the public. We are dedicated to assisting University inventors commercialize their technologies to support both economic development and future research at the University.
Nebraska Innovation Campus
Nebraska Innovation Campus is a 249-acre public/private research and technology center adjacent to UNL's City Campus. This long-term project has the potential to become a center of innovation and economic development for the state and the university.
