Lincoln (Neb.) - Oct. 29, 1998 - James Moeser, chancellor of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, will travel to Kearney Nov. 3 as part of his annual community visit series.
"I believe it's critical to listen to the concerns of our constituents," Moeser said. "I plan to ask questions and ask for feedback on important issues. I hope business and community leaders, extension educators, alumni, parents and friends of our university will give us input during this series of visits to help us improve the services offered by their university."
Moeser will meet with community leaders at a noon lunch meeting at the Ramada Inn. He also will meet with area high school principals, counselors and extension faculty and staff at the Buffalo County extension office.
After he became the university's 18th chancellor in
February of 1996, Moeser began visiting communities to
become acquainted with the state. He continues the project
to gather feedback and learn more about the issues facing
citizens across the state.
