Lincoln (Neb.) - Aug. 31, 1999 - Get fired up for the first five Nebraska home football games with hundreds of other rabid Husker fans at the free Husker Huddles pre-game parties in the Wick Alumni Center, 1520 R St. on the NU City Campus.
Sponsored by the Nebraska Alumni Association, the Husker Huddles feature live entertainment, free food and soft drinks, door prizes and a cash bar. Disc jockey Craig Estudillo will play music and local entertainers, including NU's Scarlet and Cream Singers and the Alumni Pep Band, will perform.
Husker Huddles are free and open to the public, and all ages are welcome. The events begin 2 1/2 hours before kickoff for the first five home games - Sept. 11 (California), Sept. 18 (Southern Mississippi), Oct. 2 (Oklahoma State), Oct. 9 (Iowa State) and Nov. 6 (Texas A&M). There will not be a huddle before the Nov. 13 Kansas State game.
