NU HOMECOMING ROYALTY SELECTED

Lincoln (Neb.) - Sept. 30, 1999 - Twenty students have been selected as homecoming royalty finalists at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

The homecoming king and queen will be selected in an Oct. 6 vote of the student body and will be crowned at halftime of the Oct. 9 Nebraska-Iowa State football game.

The candidates are listed below, alphabetically by hometown. Information includes the college or colleges in which the students are enrolled and their academic majors and minors.

Atkinson: Mark Rentschler is a senior in the College of Engineering and Technology. His major is mechanical engineering.

Atlantic, Iowa: Laura Schweer is a senior psychology major in the College of Arts and Sciences, with a minor in women's health and wellness.

Battle Creek: Angie Klein is a senior in the colleges of Business Administration and Journalism and Mass Communications. She has a double major in marketing and advertising, with a minor in economics.

Bayard: Philip Erdman is a senior in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. His major is agricultural leadership, education and communication with a minor in agribusiness.

Brunswick: Trisha Meuret is a senior broadcasting major in the College of Journalism and Mass Communications, with minors in English, history and sociology.

Cedar Rapids: Jill Braband is a senior business administration major in the College of Business Administration, with a minor in psychology.

Chadron: Logan Veath is a senior accounting major in the College of Business Administration.

Hastings: Brian Oppliger is a senior in the colleges of Arts and Sciences and Business Administration. He has a double major in mathematics and management.

Julian: Tim Hodges is a senior agribusiness major in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, with a minor in agricultural leadership, education and communication.

Leigh: Todd Franzen is a senior in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. He has a double major in agricultural education and agribusiness.

Lexington: Matt Meyer is a senior community health education major in Teachers College.

Lincoln: Jaime Krondak is a senior fashion merchandising major in the College of Human Resources and Family Sciences, with a minor in marketing. Sarah Scheerger is a senior exercise science major in Teachers College.

Maryville, Mo.: Stacey Duncan is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences. She majors in psychology with a minor in English.

Norfolk: Molly Egley is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences. She majors in communications studies with minors in Spanish and sociology.

North Platte: Jeff Whitney is a senior environmental studies major in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, with minors in biology and political science.

Omaha: Kevin Naujokaitis is a senior mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering and Technology. Brad Reynolds is a senior dietetics major in the College of Human Resources and Family Sciences. Gina Todero is a senior biological sciences major in the College of Arts and Sciences, with minors in psychology and sociology.

Rapid City, S.D.: Kim Gradoville is a senior in Teachers College. She has a secondary-education major in chemistry and mathematics.
