UNIVERSITY SCHEDULES COMMUNITYWIDE MEMORIAL SERVICE FOR DR. MELVIN W. JONES
Lincoln (Neb.) - Sept. 30, 1999 - The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is organizing a public, communitywide memorial service celebrating the life and achievements of Melvin W. Jones to begin at 12:30 p.m. Oct. 7 in the Lied Center for Performing Arts, 301 N. 12th St. on the UNL campus. Jones, vice chancellor for business and finance at the university, died on Sept. 28.
Jones' family, friends, acquaintances and colleagues are invited to
share this time of remembrance and renewal. A reception follows in the
Lied Center Lobby.
