PUBLIC CEREMONY TO HONOR POW/MIA

Lincoln (Neb.) - Sept. 18, 2001 - The Arnold Air Society will present a POW/MIA ceremony at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 on the green space north of the Nebraska Union on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.

Senior Chief Charles R. "Joe" Sterling (U.S. Navy, retired) will speak. Sterling served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Pueblo when it was captured by North Korean forces in 1968. He was a prisoner of war for one year.

The ceremony, which is free and open to the public, will pay tribute to the prisoners of war and show support for those missing in action.

Arnold Air Society is a professional, honorary, service organization affiliated with Air Force ROTC.
