Lincoln (Neb.) - Sept. 24, 2001 - University of Nebraska-Lincoln Chancellor Harvey Perlman will visit Norfolk, Wayne, Laurel and South Sioux City Oct. 9 and 10.
With these visits, Perlman continues a long-standing policy of UNL chancellors to regularly venture beyond the main campus in Lincoln to become better acquainted with issues facing citizens across the university's "500-mile campus."
The trip will include visits to high schools and community groups. Highlights follow.
Norfolk: Oct. 9, meet with high school students, faculty and administrators at Norfolk Senior High School, 9:45 to 11 a.m.
Wayne: Oct. 9, lunch with community members at Riley's Convention Center, noon to 1:15 p.m., meet with high school students at Wayne High School, 1:30 to 2 p.m.
Laurel: Oct. 9, tour the Learning Center at Laurel-Concord High School and visit with staff and community members, 2:30 p.m.
South Sioux City: Oct. 10, meet with students and tour South Sioux
City High School, 9 to 11 a.m.
