Lincoln, Neb., Nov. 1, 2002--Twenty students have been selected as homecoming royalty finalists at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The homecoming king and queen will be voted on by the student body and crowned Nov. 9 at the halftime of the Nebraska-Kansas football game in Memorial Stadium.
The candidates for 2002 royalty are listed below, alphabetically by their hometowns.
Albion: Kyle Wyatt, son of David and Ruth Wyatt, is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in English, with a theory and criticism concentration, and minoring in history.
Arlington: Jill Kruger, daughter of Steve and Jana Kruger, is a senior in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, majoring in agriculture journalism with an emphasis in broadcasting. Wayne Mortensen, son of Kent and Jean Mortensen, is a senior in the College of Architecture, majoring in architecture.
Aurora: Jocelyn Robertshaw, daughter of Barry and Jeanne Robertshaw, is a senior in the College of Business Administration, majoring in business administration.
Dakota City: Michelle Broyhill, daughter of Kent and Marcella Broyhill, is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in political science, international studies and Spanish.
Eugene, Ore.: Ian Gray, son of Robert and Kathleen Gray, is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in biochemistry and biological sciences, and minoring in business administration.
Gering: Brenton Ellison, son of James and Gail Ellison, is a senior in Teachers College, majoring in exercise science. Amy Manasek, daughter of Robert and Barbara Manasek, is a senior in Teachers College, majoring in exercise science/pre-nursing.
Grand Island: Tiffany Peterson, daughter of Ron and Becky Peterson, is a senior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Spanish and pre-medicine and minoring in mathematics.
Gretna: Michelle Schrage, daughter of Larry and Sheri Schrage, is a senior in the College of Business Administration, majoring in business administration, with an emphasis in management and marketing.
